Production of "Soil Amendment" by chipping up scrap gypsum wallboard and plywood on a construction site in 1995.
The Gyp Monster is a new breed of gypsum wallboard scrap and cardboard on-site waste processing systems. It is ideally suited to current disposal trends. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency considers  disposal at the source of waste creation, when safely done, to be the very best choice for slowing the landfill crisis in this country.

In 1990, it was estimated that over 4.5 billion pounds of scrap gypsum wallboard from construction waste were deposited in North America's dwindling waste disposal sites.

When the numbers are brought forward to 2014, the situation is at least 92% worse. Today, over 8 bllion pounds are generated annually! Adding to this problem: it is virtually impossible, at present, to dispose of waste gypsum wallboard in many eastern seaboard states and Canadian provinces due to the space-hogging properties of this construction by-product. Legislation prohibiting this problem material is also becoming quite common. Shipping of this nuisance to Mid-America is often the only choice.  Escalating disposal costs (tipping fees) associated with such an extended transport only make  matters worse.

To date, no affordable, reliable or simply practical machine has ever been widely available to solve this serious - and rapidly growing - waste disposal problem.
                                                                        An alternative has arrived!
That alternative is The Gyp Monster!

A truck mounted gypsum system built by the inventor of the Gyp Monster in late 1995
Our experience in manufacturing waste gypsum disposal machines goes back almost 28 years. No one knows more about the physics required to disintegrate this material than our people.

We are also experts in determining if scrap demolition wallboard is contaminated by lead based paint.
Remember: disintegrating cannot be done safely if this hazard is present. Don't get caught in the federal government legal trap by chipping this toxic product or risking your health!

The founder, Jerry W. Petermann, of The Gyp Solution is also the inventor of the world's first computer based portable X-Ray fluorscence lead-in-paint analyzer. Created in1985 - our NDT experience dates from 1977. We can help you determine if your scrap is contaminated and help you avoid making a serious and potentially costly mistake!
Now there's a real solution to lowering your disposal costs!  Dumping at the landfill has become just too expensive. The best alternative: return disintegrated scrap gypsum wallboard to the earth directly at the jobsite...safely and legally!
Disintegrate It!   Don't Dump It!
